Job Description:

A busy, caring family with two young children (aged 1 and 3½) is seeking a reliable, organised, and compassionate Home Helper / Family Support person for approximately 25 hours per week. The hours include one early start (6:00 am – 3:00 pm) and two later days (10:00 am – 7:00 pm), with some flexibility appreciated. The role focuses on helping the household run smoothly while providing attentive support to the children, including supporting one child with higher needs and encouraging development through play, routines, and everyday activities. Responsibilities include keeping the home tidy and organised, meal preparation and cooking, laundry, light cleaning, general household tasks, and keeping outdoor areas presentable. The role also involves preschool and activity drop-offs, engaging the children in play and learning, supporting daily routines such as meals and naps, and maintaining a calm, well-structured environment. The family is looking for someone who is patient, proactive, and confident with young children, particularly supporting a child with higher needs, and who brings a calm, positive presence, strong time management, and initiative to a busy family home.
