Job Description:

We have a wonderful permanent Nanny/Family Assistant opportunity available with a lovely family currently living in Kohimarama, with plans to move within the Eastern Bays area in the future.

The family has a daughter who will turn two in July 2026 and are expecting a new baby in August 2026. Mum will be on maternity leave, and Dad is self-employed. They are looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive nanny who would like to become a valued long-term part of their family and grow with them as their children’s needs evolve.

The role is due to commence in early August 2026, with some flexibility around the start date. The hours will initially be Monday to Thursday from 2:00pm to 6:30pm, with 18 guaranteed hours per week. Responsibilities will include collecting their daughter from daycare in Remuera (with a family vehicle provided for daycare pick-ups and child-related outings), assisting with dinner, bath time, and the evening routine, supporting Mum with the care of the newborn baby, preparing meals, and undertaking light household duties such as laundry, tidying, and helping to keep the home organised and running smoothly.

Please note that the family has a cleaner who attends weekly, so household responsibilities are limited to day-to-day assistance rather than deep cleaning. While the position will initially be 18 hours per week, the family anticipates additional hours becoming available as the baby grows and requires more dedicated daytime care and engagement.
