Job Description:

We have a new request from a family living rurally in Silverdale who are seeking an experienced postnatal nanny/home-help to start on 4 December 2026. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm (40 hours per week), initially for around six months, after which the hours may reduce to part-time or the position may come to an end. The family has a 3.5-year-old daughter who attends full-time daycare and a newborn baby due in late November 2026. The role will focus on newborn care, including bathing, settling, nappy changes, sleep monitoring, developmental and sensory play, bottle preparation and sterilising, as well as supporting with feeds and formula top-ups. From around the third week, the nanny will provide approximately three hours of sole-charge care each day while Mum works from home. Both parents work from home in separate offices and have very busy schedules, so the role will also include household support such as meal planning and preparation, family laundry, tidying, organisation and general daily upkeep. A weekly cleaner takes care of the heavier cleaning.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, confident with newborns and happy to combine childcare with practical home-help duties.
