Job Description:

We have a lovely family based in Bethlehem, Tauranga, who are looking for a caring, organised and experienced Nanny to join their family on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible.

The family have four children aged 12, 10, 8 and 6 years old, with the youngest child having Type 1 diabetes. Both parents are professionals and have recently moved from the UK, so they are settling into their new life in New Zealand and would appreciate some extra support as they find their feet.

Hours: One day per week TBC – This will not be a Thursday, 7.00am – 7.00pm, with the potential for additional days in the near future.

The role will involve helping the children get ready for school, preparing breakfast and organising drop-offs to two different schools in the morning. During the day, you will have time to help keep the home tidy and prepare meals for the evening. Afternoon duties will include school pick-ups at approximately 2.45pm and 3.00pm, bringing the children home, preparing afternoon tea, helping with homework and ensuring dinner is ready to be served.

The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive and well organised, with experience caring for school-aged children. Experience managing Type 1 diabetes, or a willingness to learn and follow the child’s diabetes care plan, is essential.
