Job Description:

A lovely family in Merivale, Christchurch, is seeking a caring, energetic, and experienced nanny to join them on a permanent, full-time basis from Monday, 18 January 2027. The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, caring for three girls aged five years, three years, and nine months. The primary focus during the day will be caring for the baby, including age-appropriate outings such as Wriggle and Rhyme, library visits, and other community activities. The role will also involve collecting Miss 5 from Elmswood Normal School, supporting her after-school activities, and assisting with Miss 3’s kindergarten routine and pick-ups as required. Responsibilities will include managing the children’s daily routines, meals, naps, playtime and outings, preparing the family’s evening meal, and general child-related duties. The ideal candidate will be warm, reliable, organised, and proactive, with previous nanny or childcare experience and a genuine love of working with children of different ages. A full, clean driver’s licence and confidence driving children to school, kindergarten, and activities are essential. A nanny car will be provided for all work-related driving. The family has no pets.
