Job Description:

We have received a wonderful nanny opportunity with a lovely family based in Remuera. This busy corporate family is seeking an experienced, energetic, warm, and highly organised nanny to become an important part of their household. The position is available to commence as soon as the right nanny is found and is expected to continue until March 2027, with a strong possibility of extending beyond this date.

The role is ideally Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm (45 hours per week); however, the family is also open to considering a nanny who is available for afternoon hours only, Monday to Friday from 2:00pm – 7:30pm.

The family have two children: a little boy who turns six in September and a 15-month-old girl who currently attends daycare, although the family is considering withdrawing her due to ongoing winter illnesses. Both parents are busy professionals who are currently establishing another business. While they may occasionally work from home, they are primarily based in their offices and are looking for a capable nanny who can confidently take sole charge, manage the children’s routines, and maintain a calm, nurturing, and well-organised environment.

The role will include school drop-offs and pick-ups, transporting the eldest child to after-school activities, planning and preparing nutritious gluten-free and dairy-free meals for the children, serving their dinner between 5:00pm and 5:30pm, and managing all child-related household tasks. This includes the children’s laundry, keeping bedrooms tidy and organised, and staying on top of school bags, lunchboxes, uniforms, and linen. The family employs a cleaner on a fortnightly basis.

The family also has a much-loved 12-year-old French Bulldog. As the home has a significant number of stairs, the successful applicant must be physically fit and comfortable caring for an active toddler and school-aged child throughout the day. A full driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are preferred.

The ideal nanny will have proven experience caring for both toddlers and school-aged children and will be proactive, dependable, and able to work independently while managing the demands of a busy household. They will be warm, engaging, energetic, and confident preparing meals that meet the children’s dietary requirements.
