Job Description:

We are currently inviting applications for a warm, reliable and organised nanny to join a lovely family in an after-school care role, starting as soon as possible. This position is Monday to Friday, 3:00pm–7:00pm (with some evenings finishing earlier at 6:30pm), working on a fortnightly schedule — every second week when the children are in their father’s care. You will be caring for three children: an 11-year-old who attends Remuera Intermediate, and 6-year-old twins who attend Saint Michaels Catholic School in Remuera and Somerville Special School respectively. One of the twins is autistic, has ADHD and epilepsy and is non-verbal. The family uses visual boards to support communication, and the child communicates their needs well using established systems. Experience working with neurodivergent children and/or those with additional learning needs would be highly advantageous. Responsibilities include school pick-ups, providing afternoon tea, supervising and assisting with homework, transporting the children to after-school activities such as judo, preparing and serving dinner, and offering attentive, supportive care in a structured and nurturing environment.
