Job Description:

We have a wonderful nanny opportunity starting in early June 2026, for a one-year fixed term (with the potential for review thereafter), based on a family farm in Maraekakaho, Hawke’s Bay. The role is Tuesday to Saturday, 6:30am to 2:30pm, primarily caring for a baby girl who will be 6 months old at the start of the position. The family also has a 3-year-old daughter who attends Kindergarten most days; occasional kindy drop-offs may be required, although Dad can often assist and Mum manages pick-ups. Responsibilities include getting the baby up and ready for the day, preparing and feeding breakfast and lunch, engaging in age-appropriate play, light household duties related to the children, and meal preparation. The family home is on a working farm with a friendly fox terrier, Mum works full-time from home in a dedicated office, and Dad is in and out throughout the day. This position offers flexibility as either a live-in role, with a separate three-bedroom cottage provided on the farm, or live-out for candidates already based in Hawke’s Bay.
