Job Description:

We have a permanent nanny role available from the end of October 2026 for a lovely family based in Ararimu. The position involves caring for two children, who will be 1 year old and 5½ years old when the role begins. The family are initially seeking a nanny for two days per week, approximately 8:00am to 3:30/4:00pm, with the expectation that the role may increase to three or four days per week in the future. They are flexible regarding which days are worked and are primarily focused on finding the right person to join their family.

The role will involve caring for the 1-year-old throughout the day, including playtime, feeding, and maintaining routines, along with light household duties such as tidying up after activities and occasionally emptying the dishwasher. There may also be opportunities to assist with school drop-offs and pick-ups for the older child, although this is not essential. The family have no pets inside the home, however they do have chickens outside. A full driver’s licence and experience with young children are required. The family are also happy for their nanny to attend Playcentre with the younger child on working days if desired. Dad works from home but has a separate office space, allowing the nanny to work independently.
