Job Description:

We have a lovely nanny opportunity available with a family based in Ponsonby, commencing around 1 July 2026. The family are seeking an experienced, reliable, and nurturing nanny to join their household for an initial six-month period, with the strong possibility of the role extending longer if the arrangement suits both parties. The position offers guaranteed hours of 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with some flexibility available and the potential for additional hours by mutual agreement. The family have two boys: an energetic 22-month-old who attends Kindy four mornings per week and a 10-week-old bottle-fed baby. This is primarily a shared-care role alongside Mum, who works from home in the family business and remains actively involved with the children throughout the day. At times, the nanny will care for one child while Mum is with the other, although there will also be occasions when sole charge of both boys is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with both newborns and toddlers, be confident working collaboratively with parents, and be flexible and adaptable in a busy family environment. The household also includes a friendly Labradoodle and a cat. A full driver’s licence is essential, and a vehicle will be provided for use during working hours.
