Job Description:

We are looking for a warm and experienced nanny to join a lovely family in Newlands, Wellington. This is initially a 6-month contract, with the possibility of continuing longer term, and the family would ideally like someone to start as soon as possible, preferably before October. A nanny who lives locally would be preferred. The role is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, from 10.00am–3.00pm, totalling 20 hours per week. The family has a 10-month-old daughter, with their second baby girl due in early October. The nanny will mainly care for the 10-month-old while Mum or Dad cares for the newborn, although there will be times when the nanny helps with both babies. Duties will include feeding, settling, playing with and caring for the baby, taking her for stroller walks and local outings such as Newlands Park and Johnsonville Library, as well as light baby-related household tasks during longer naps if time allows. Mum is at home and Dad works from home, so they will generally be around while the nanny is working, although they may occasionally head out. The family is looking for someone reliable, nurturing and confident caring for babies and newborns.
