Job Description:

We have a lovely family based in Burwood, Christchurch, who are looking for an experienced, caring and reliable live-in nanny to join their family on a long-term, permanent basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone seeking a stable live-in position with a family who value having an experienced childcare professional as part of their home. The role involves caring for their little boy, born 5 February 2024, who is non-verbal and requires close, attentive supervision throughout the day. His care will include full-time childcare and supervision, preparing age-appropriate meals, planning and engaging in play and activities, supporting his daily routine, bath time and the bedtime routine. He sleeps well through the night, so the nanny’s role will primarily focus on daytime care and the evening routine. Mum is also expecting the family’s second baby in April 2027, so the role will naturally develop as the family grows and will eventually involve caring for both children. The successful nanny will have their own private bedroom and bathroom, along with a Wi-Fi connection. The position will be Monday to Friday, with hours to be discussed and some flexibility around the family’s needs. The family also have a lovely male British Shorthair cat, so being comfortable and happy around cats is important.
