Job Description:

We have a lovely family based in Newmarket, Auckland, looking for an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their little girl, who will be approximately eight months old when the permanent role begins on 15 February 2027. The position is for approximately 20 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with flexible start and finish times to suit the right candidate and family. Mum is currently working from home and plans to return to work around the middle of 2027, so the family is looking for someone who can work collaboratively with Mum while providing consistent, loving care for their daughter. Responsibilities will include supporting her daily routines, including feeding, sleeping and playtime, preparing meals and snacks as she progresses with solids, and planning age-appropriate activities to encourage her learning and development. The nanny will also take her out for walks and local outings, enjoy exploring the nearby Auckland Domain and walking tracks, and perhaps feed the ducks together. Child-related household duties will include keeping her play areas tidy, managing her laundry, preparing her meals and tidying up after activities. The family has a cleaner who visits fortnightly, so the focus of this role is on childcare and child-related tasks rather than general housework. There are no pets in the home.
