Kirsten has been at the helm of Karitane® for the past 20 years, working with families across New Zealand and overseas to find the perfect nanny or solve those tricky baby challenges. Her passion and experience have made her a trusted name in family support.
Proud mum to Taylor and Jordan, and doting granny to Lily, Kirsten balances her professional life with strong connections to friends and family. Outside the office, you’ll likely spot her power walking through the streets of Auckland — be sure to wave if you see her!
Miranda
Miranda is the Director and owner of Karitane® Limited, and a proud mum to three boys aged 18, 17, and 14. She is also the founder of Miranda Smith Homecare, which provides high-quality, home-based care for the elderly, disabled, and those with long-term or end-of-life care needs across Auckland, Tauranga, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington, and Christchurch.
Miranda is passionate about supporting mothers in the home and ensuring families get the help they need, when and where they need it most.
Based in Hawke’s Bay, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her boys, making the most of family life and the natural beauty around them.
Kelly
Kelly has been a valued member of the Karitane® team for the past nine years, working closely with Kirsten as her PA and Administrator. She enjoys the variety her role offers and plays a key part in keeping our website up to date and managing our social media presence.
With a background as a qualified nanny, Kelly has supported many families over the years, bringing warmth and experience to everything she does. Outside of work, she’s busy keeping up with her 16-year-old twins, Jack and Ella, and their many after-school activities.
