Job Description:

A lovely family based in Whenuapai is seeking a caring and experienced nanny to join them as soon as possible for a 6-month short-term position caring for their 13-month-old child. The role is Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 3:00pm and would suit someone who is warm, reliable, and genuinely enjoys engaging with babies and supporting their development through play, exploration, and routine. Responsibilities include providing primary care for B1, engaging in age-appropriate activities such as reading and sensory play, supervising play in a safe environment, preparing simple meals and snacks, supporting nap routines, and keeping baby areas tidy by cleaning up after meals and play. The nanny will also enjoy taking B1 for walks or outings to the park. The family has a fortnightly cleaner, so the focus of the role is childcare rather than household management, and they also have a small, friendly elderly dog in the home. Applicants must have a full driver’s licence, their own reliable car, experience caring for babies or toddlers, and a warm, nurturing personality.
