Job Description:

We are currently seeking a caring and experienced nanny for a short-term role with a lovely family based in Remuera, starting as soon as possible and continuing through until the end of October. The position is Monday and Wednesday, 7:00am–4:00pm, caring for a 15-month-old boy in a sole-charge capacity (following an initial handover period), while mum works from home in a dedicated office space. The home is conveniently located near parks and walkways, allowing for regular outings and engaging, age-appropriate activities. There is also a 5-year-old sibling who is dropped at school at 7:30am, with minimal hands-on care required. The day typically includes an active morning of play and outings, lunch before midday, a nap from approximately 12:00pm–2:00pm, and relaxed afternoon activities. Responsibilities include all child-related care, planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities, preparing meals and snacks, supporting positive routines, and undertaking child-related household duties such as tidying play areas and children’s laundry, while contributing to a calm and organised home environment. Mum will spend the first day providing a thorough handover to ensure you feel confident with the routine. The ideal candidate will be experienced with toddlers (15 months+), warm, proactive and reliable, confident working independently in a home where a parent is working remotely, and able to commit through to the end of October.
